Route 70 reopens following riots in North

Route 70 reopened Thursday morning after a night in which vandals threw stones and burned tires in the section of the road between Tivon and Yokneam. A police car was damaged when it was hit by a Molotov cocktail and the rioting forced the closure of the road for some two hours. Police said the rioters were protesting the expropriation of land for the purpose of transferring natural gas to Haifa Port.
