Sakhnin man jailed for 14 years for attempting to murder his daughter

The Haifa District Court on Wednesday sentenced a Sakhnin man to 14 years in jail for attempting to murder one of his daughters and severely hurting another. The man, Muhammad Shla'ata, forced his daughters to swallow pills and choked them as a punishment for disturbing his rest. Shla'ata, who was convicted in a plea bargain agreement, was also given a two-year suspended sentence.
