A flotilla of nine yachts calling for the "embargo" on captured IDF soldier Gilad Schalit to be lifted, left the Herzliya marina on Monday morning, and sailed for Tel Aviv, after a rally on the shore.

The flotilla organizers called on the international community not to discriminate against Schalit and to intervene in his humanitarian interests as well as in the interests of the Gazan population.

Comment:I'd like to send a book to Gilad

The yachts were bedecked with flags and posters calling for the soldier's release.
Kadima chairwoman Tzipi Livni, the central speaker at the marina rally, said the world could not both treat the Hamas as a legitimate government in Gaza on the one hand, and not require it to fulfill international humanitarian conventions and laws on the other.
