Nabil Shaath, former Palestinian Authority foreign minister, said Tuesday that as part of the framework being developed to free Cpl. Gilad Shalit, Israel would free 700 Palestinian prisoners.
In an interview with the newspaper Al Quds, Shaath said that officials were in the advanced stages of negotiation and that Israel and the Palestinian groups would also agree upon a mutual cease-fire, Israel Radio reported.
