Regional Cooperation and Negev and Galilee Development Minister Silvan Shalom and Middle East Quartet envoy Tony Blair met Wednesday for discussions on advancing various projects for bolstering the Palestinian economy. The two agreed to visit the site of a planned Israeli-Palestinian industrial zone between Jenin and the Gilboa Regional Council in two weeks' time. "I intend to act for an improved understanding, trust and cooperation with the Palestinian Authority with the goal of building a stable Palestinian economy," said Shalom.
