Soldier, border policeman lightly wounded in anti-security fence demo

An IDF soldier and a border policeman were lightly wounded Thursday when they were pelted with stones during a violent anti-security fence protest in the Palestinian village of Ni'lin, near Modi'in. The two received initial medical treatment at the scene and the border policeman was then evacuated to a nearby hospital for further treatment. During the demonstration, some 200 Palestinians and left-wing Israeli activists blocked bulldozers working on the fence and three of the protesters were lightly hurt as security forces attempted to disperse the crowd.
