An IDF soldier told police on Sunday morning that an Arab man attempted to stab him. The soldier said he was on his way to his base in Jaffa when he fought off an Arab assailant armed with a knife, following which the attacker fled.
Large police forces were scanning the area. A preliminary investigation says the attack was probably nationalistically motivated.
