Soldiers prevent stabbing at Hebron post; seriously wound assailant

IDF soldiers prevented a stabbing attempt at an army post near Hebron Friday night, when they shot an assailant as he ran toward them with a knife. Soldiers at the 'Shani' outpost identified the man as he approached them in the dark, holding an unidentified object in his hand. When the suspect began running toward them, they fired at his legs, seriously wounding him. When the soldiers then approached him, they found a knife in his hand. The man was treated by the soldiers at the scene and was then evacuated to a medical facility for further treatment.
