Syrian envoy to UN: Olmert's planned resignation could affect peace talks

Syrian Ambassador to the UN Bashar Ja'afari said Wednesday night that the planned resignation of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert could have an effect on Syria's indirect peace negotiations with Israel.
"It could do. I hope not," Ja'afari told Reuters when he was asked if Olmert's announcement could have an impact on the Turkish-mediated talks.
