Teacher who died during school trip identified as Boris Karush

The 62-year-old teacher who plunged to his death while accompanying a group of high school students on a hike through the Golan Heights was identified Thursday evening as Boris Karush from Holon.
Karush fell from a height of eight meters on Thursday morning, hitting his head before sliding into a nearby stream and drowning.
A police rescue unit and Magen David Adom paramedics quickly arrived on the scene and tried to resuscitate the 62-year-old, but their attempts were unsuccessful.
