Top official involved in Schalit talks: Negotiations not over

Some two hours before a special cabinet session on the outcome of the recent marathon negotiations in Cairo over Gilad Schalit's release, a senor official involved in the talks told Israel Radio early Tuesday afternoon that despite the lack of a breakthrough, negotiations were not over. Jerusalem officials said that at the 2 p.m. cabinet meeting, ministers may be asked to vote on a prime ministerial statement on the issue of the captured soldier.
