Troops shoot, moderately wound Palestinian attacker at Hawara checkpoint

Givati Brigade troops shot and moderately wounded a Palestinian overnight Tuesday at the Hawara checkpoint, south of Nablus, after he began to throw sharp objects at the soldiers. The troops followed the correct procedure of first shooting in the air, before firing at the attacker's lower body, the IDF said. The Palestinian was evacuated to an Israeli hospital for treatment.
