Union of Local Authorities complains of police violence at demo

The Union of Local Authorities on Sunday filed a complaint to the Police Investigations Division following allegations of police violence against mayors at a demonstration against education budget cuts last week in Jerusalem.
The mayors claimed that unreasonable force was used, leaving several demonstrators requiring medical treatment.
Israel Police officials told Army Radio that the mayors' conduct should be condemned, saying they pushed the security forces.
