By JERUSALEM POST STAFF
An 18-year-old youth from Petah Tikva was arrested on Tuesday for killing hundreds of animals - primarily cats - in the city.
According to police, the boy initially denied the accusations, but later confessed to the killings, saying that they were in preparation for a murder he had been planning. Further, the youth said that he had been inspired into the deeds by a Russian serial killer who he read about on the internet.
Police will be recommending to the court on Tuesday that the boy's remand be extended.
