For several years, the annual Chabad seder in Kathmandu, which attracts backpackers who wander in from all over Asia, has been considered the largest in the world.
Depending on political, security and economic situations worldwide, attendance figures vary from around 1,000 to 2,000.
But Kathmandu, though more exotic, will not be able to compare numerically with Florida, where students from Kabbala centers will gather this year.
According to a press release put out by the Israel Kabbala Center, some 5,000 people from Israel, Europe and North and South America are expected to usher in the Festival of Freedom in Florida.
Not everyone attending this mega-seder will be Jewish; famous Kabbala students such as Madonna and Demi Moore are expected to attend.
Jewish Kabbala students will include Donna Karan.
Kabbala centers in Israel will hold seders for some 1,000 local Kabbala students who don't plan to be in Florida.
These seders will be held at centers in Tel Aviv, Tiberias and Haifa.
For those more interested in a Chabad seder, more than 4,000 of them will be held worldwide. There will be several Chabad community seders in Israel.
