More bronze plaques stolen from Jewish cemetery in Czech Republic

Czech police say another 700 bronze plaques have been stolen from a Holocaust memorial in a Jewish cemetery north of Prague.
Police spokeswoman Alena Romova says the plaques with names of the dead have been taken from the Theresienstadt memorial in the last seven days.
Police say there have been no indications that the thefts have been motivated by anti-Semitic sentiment. They say the plaques may have been stolen for resale as raw bronze.
Romova said Thursday several plaques have already been found at a scrap yard in northern Czech Republic. She gave no other details because of the continuing investigation.
