Enjoy a global earful
The Jerusalem International Chamber Music Festival starts Sunday at the YMCA and will run until September 4. The artistic director, internationally renowned pianist Elena Bashkirova, has gathered a glittering global array of performers, such as pianist and conductor András Schiff tomorrow night, cellist Gabriel Schwabe on Saturday and Russian viola player Tatjana Masurenko.

Cheer a dragon in the Yarkon
The Dragon Boat Carnival on the Yarkon River in Tel Aviv kicks off tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. Mayor Ron Huldai will be honored with the traditional painting of the dragon’s eye on the boat. Have a beer
The Mateh Yehuda region is home to a number of small breweries, and they are getting together for a beer fair today and tomorrow at the Srigim Forest in Givat Yeshayahu.
Besides lots of beer sampling, there will be live music and open houses of local artists and cooks.

The Holon museums open the season with exhibitions dedicated to fashion, such as a one-man show of Yaniv Edri at the Mishkan Gallery and a group exhibition curated by Tamar Karavan called “N.E.W L.O.V.E” at the Chava Gallery.

Gaze at the gowns
The new exhibition “Here Comes the Bride: Wedding Gowns Embroidering the Story of the Jewish People” will open at Beit Hatfutsot – Museum of the Jewish People on September 18.
On display will be wedding gowns created by 14 Shenkar College of Engineering and Design third-year fashion students who decorated the gowns with embroidery inspired by artifacts from Beit Hatfutsot.The exhibition be on display until February 28, 2014.DANCE
Fall for Flamenco
The annual Hot Dance Festival will close with a flourish as Spanish dancer and choreographer Jose Porcel reveals his newest production, Arte, an evening compiled of scenes from his award-winning shows.
