Police are once again urging parents to be alert to their children's computer activities after eight Haifa residents were arrested last week for the possession and publication of pedophilic material, reports Yediot Haifa. The suspects reportedly hacked into legitimate web sites frequented by children and inserted the material there. According to the report, the suspects were arrested after German police made a request to Israeli police via Interpol. A police spokesman said all parents were being asked to be alert to what their children were doing on their computers. The spokesman said parents should teach children that pedophiles often make tempting offers, should warn them to be careful even in chat-rooms with children supposedly their own age, and should instruct them never to write to strangers or to arrange to meet someone they knew only through the internet.
