Rabbis get the picture

The Haifa rabbinical court has ordered a recently married Haifa couple to pay their wedding photographer a little over two-thirds of the agreed price after he failed to photograph their family members sufficiently, reports www.mynet.co.il. The rabbis ruled that although the couple did have photographs to remind them of their big day, they were missing pictures of a number of their relatives, and the photographer did not deserve full payment for his incomplete work. According to the report, the couple had agreed to pay NIS 3,400 for their wedding pictures, but refused to pay after seeing that there were no pictures of a number of close relatives such as grandparents, and that there were no family photographs taken at the end of the wedding. In addition, a female photographer who was supposed to take pictures of the women at the wedding reportedly stopped work at the height of the festivities, at 10:30 p.m. The photographer sued the couple in the rabbinical court after they refused to pay. Three rabbinical court judges ruled that the couple should pay NIS 2,700 to the photographer, saying that they did have some pictures as souvenirs, but that the photographer had not completed his work properly and now had no opportunity to complete it.
