The wheels on the bus go round and round... Haifa

Looking for an easy way to see the sights in Haifa during the current summer vacation? The Haifa Tourist and Leisure Board has begun running daily buses that offer three-hour guided tours of the city's main attractions for NIS 30 per adult and NIS 15 per child, reports www.mynet.co.il. The Tour Haifa buses depart twice daily (at 11 am and 2 pm) from the Madatech science museum on Rehov Balfour, and take in the Germany Colony, the Stella Maris lookout point, the Bahai Gardens, Park Hecht, the Carmel summit, the entrance to the new Carmel Tunnels and other sites of interest before returning to the science museum. The report said the NIS 200,000 venture is part of the organization's Summer 2009 tourism campaign. For further information contact the board on (04) 853-5606.
