Park to expand eastwards

Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai and the managers of Ganei Yehoshua have officially inaugurated the first stage in the planned eastward expansion of the park, reports www.local.co.il. The new 120-dunam section has already been planted with 760 mostly-native trees, including ficus, carob, Tabor oak and sycamore trees, and the promenade along the banks of the Yarkon River has been extended. When complete, the park will extend eastwards almost to Rosh Ha'ayin.
