Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin next week during a visit to Moscow, Abbas's office said Thursday. Abbas will travel to Russia beginning on Monday, according to his office. It was not clear which day the two would meet. Russia's Interfax news agency reported that Abbas' visit would be for three days. The Abbas-Putin meeting will be the first since Hamas took over the Gaza Strip.
