Egypt: Hamas must reveal where it got cash it tried to smuggle into Gaza

Egypt is demanding that Hamas clarify where exactly the group's spokesman Ayman Taha got the $9 million and 2 million euros that were found in his suitcases at the Rafah border crossing last week following truce talks in Cairo. Egyptian police forced Taha to deposit the cash in an account in el-Arīsh, and Egyptian officials said that Hamas wouldn't get the money if it didn't reveal its source. On Sunday, an Egyptian newspaper claimed that the money was from Iran.
