Egyptian border guards arrest 6 Africans trying to cross into Israel

Egyptian border guards on Wednesday night arrested six African migrants trying to cross illegally into Israel. An Egyptian security official said that two men, three woman and a child from Eritrea and Ethiopia were caught around eight kilometers south of Rafah, the main Egypt-Gaza crossing. The official said the migrants allegedly paid $500 to human traffickers for shelter in the Egyptian desert and a ride to the Israeli border. Guards shot at the migrants to stop them but reportedly none were hurt.
