Hamas, Fatah supporters scuffle at Fatah-controlled Gaza university

Palestinian officials have shut down a Gaza university Monday, after two female students were injured and professors assaulted in a scuffle between supporters of the rival Hamas and Fatah movements. The incident took place at Al-Azhar university. The school is one of the few institutions still controlled by Fatah in the Gaza Strip University officials say the unrest broke out after Hamas supporters defied a ban on political activity. One witness says the whole university was covered with green Hamas flags. The university is expected to remain closed on Tuesday as well.
