During an operation on Tuesday night a violent riot broke out where stones and blocks were thrown at IDF soldiers in the West Bank, according to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit. The IDF dispersed the crowd and arrested five Palestinians in the Etzion region for suspected terrorism involvement.

A soldier was lightly wounded during the incident and has received medical treatment. He was later released from the hospital.

The IDF, Shin Bet and Border Police also arrested 17 Palestinians overnight in the West Bank in the Menashe region for possession of illegal weapons.

Palestinians rioted at the Temple Mount and along the Gaza border late Tuesday night as well.
