Four Jordanians convicted in Israel of killing Israeli troops but transferred last year to serve out there time in the kingdom have been released from prison in the Jordanian capital of Amman.
Wednesday's release comes despite objections from Israel and could upset relations between the two Mideast neighbors.
The four men were convicted of killing the Israelis in two separate attacks within Israel's borders in 1990. They were transferred last July to serve out 18 months at home under a Jordan-Israel agreement.
Jordanian Prime Minister Nader al-Dahabi recently said the release is in line with Jordanian prison law which counts one year in jail at nine months. Israel insists on the full period.
