Saudi man arrested over haircut Religious police in Saudi Arabia arrested a male hairdresser for cutting a woman’s hair, the Saudi website Sabq reported this week.

Members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice raided the hairdresser’s workplace in the city of Jeddah after receiving a complaint. The barber was found cutting the hair of a woman who was not more than 20 years old, with the shop door closed.

The girl was covered up immediately and taken to her family, according to the report. Following his arrest, the barber was handed over to the police for investigation.
