Report: Mubarak invited Olmert to Egypt to discuss truce offer

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has invited Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to Cairo in order to discuss the Egyptian proposal for a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas, the London-based Arab daily Al-Hayat reported on Thursday morning.
According to Israel Radio, the Arab newspaper reported that Olmert had accepted the invitation.
Al Hayat reportedly said that Egyptian officials were also trying to arrange a meeting between Olmert and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
