UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon called on Israel and the Palestinians to immediately cease all violence in the Gaza Strip, Reuters reported Sunday. In a statement, Ban said that he "deplores that violence is continuing today and he strongly urges once again an immediate stop to all acts of violence."
