The US military says a Marine has died from wounds he received in combat in Iraq's Anbar province.
The military said Monday in a brief statement that the Marine died Saturday after he was attacked by insurgents during an operation in western Iraq. The Marine was assigned to Multi-National Force-West.
The Marine's identity was not released pending notification of relatives.
