21 children injured in Tel Aviv amusement park accident

Police and ambulances respond to calls of injuries after a carousel breaks down at Luna Park in Tel Aviv; children hospitalized with limb injuries.

Twenty-one children were injured in an accident at Luna Park in Gan Yehoshua in Tel Aviv on Thursday, MDA said.

Large forces of police and ambulances responded after a malfunction of the carousel ride at the popular attraction was reported. The site is  particularly full during the Passover vacation when schools are closed.

Paramedics treated the children and eleven were sent to the hospital.

The children being treated were between the ages of 6-13 and they were all being treated for injuries to their legs in area hospitals.
