2 murder-suicides perpetrated by husbands in North

For the second time in the same day, man kills his wife and then proceeds to commit suicide, this time in Lower Galilee town of Massad.

A resident of the town of Massad in the Lower Galilee shot his wife and then killed himself in the second such murder-suicide event to occur Sunday.
Police squadrons and paramedics teams arrived on the scene after shots were heard. When police first arrived, it seemed that the husband resisted their entry, however following a second round of shots, police entered and found the two bodies.

Initial investigations show that that children had heard the first shots and run out of the house.
Earlier Sunday, a man and his wife, both in their 50s, were found dead in Kiryat Ata. Police suspected that the husband killed his wife and then hanged himself.
Police entered the couple's home after a relative called, concerned that he had not been able to contact the two.
The woman was found with multiple stab wounds, and the man was hanging by a rope.
