President Shimon Peres called Maccabi Tel Aviv head coach David Blatt on the phone to congratulate the team following their exciting Euroleague title win Sunday night.

"All of Israel is yellow - you're the best!" he told Blatt. Peres joked that he almost suffered a heart attack from the suspense.

Maccabi Tel Aviv overcame tournament favorite Real Madrid to win 98-86 in overtime to claim their sixth Euroleague title.
