The decomposing body of a woman was found in the trunk of a car that was pulled over near the nuclear research facility in Dimona, Negev Police said Thursday.
“On Thursday a private car was stopped by security guards. Inside the car they found the body of a woman that was badly decomposed. The driver of the vehicle was arrested and taken for questioning,” Dimona Police chief Avshalom Elmalich said at the scene.
According to Negev subdistrict police, security guards at the Dimona core stopped the car and called police, after it was “being driven in a suspicious manner” near the gate of the facility.
The driver, in his forties, is from Kuseifa.
Police said early Thursday they suspect the body is that of a woman who went missing earlier in the week, adding that the driver of the car is a relative of the missing woman.
