Car hits ambulance in Tel Aviv police chase, 6 hurt

Suspects abandon vehicle, fleeing on foot after crashing into car, ambulance; police apprehend 1 suspect; 6 lightly hurt.

Two alleged car thieves struck an ambulance and another vehicle, lightly injuring six people while attempting to escape from police in a stolen sports utility vehicle on Friday morning.

The two suspects abandoned the vehicle following the crash, fleeing on foot.

Police apprehended one of the suspects, a Hebron resident according to Israel Radio, while the second man remained at large.

Police discovered fake license plates and tools used for breaking into cars in the stolen vehicle.

The injured were transported to Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv and Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer.
