A Petah Tikva man allegedly shot his wife to death in front of the couple's daughter on Tuesday night, Sharon subdistrict police reported.
Sharon subdistrict police said that an argument broke out between the couple while they were sitting in their car near the Ein Ganim junction in the city. During the argument the man pulled out a pistol and shot his wife in the upper body, while she was sitting in the driver's seat.
The couple's 14-year-old daughter was sitting in the back seat the entire time, police said.
After allegedly shooting his wife, the man called police and told them what he did, and waited at the scene for officers and paramedics to arrive. Magen David Adom paramedics who arrived minutes later pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
The man was arrested by officers, who will take him for a remand extension on Wednesday morning.
