Northern Israel, Tel Aviv welcome in rainy weekend

Scattered showers, colder temperatures a welcome respite; conditions expected to become unseasonably warm, dry by Monday.

Scattered showers fell in northern Israel on Friday morning, eventually making their way to Tel Aviv in the early afternoon.
The rain was expected to come and go throughout the afternoon and into the evening. Isolated thunderstorms were also on the horizon for Friday, according to the Israel Meteorological Service.
Temperatures fell considerably on Friday and the rain was accompanied by strong winds in some areas of the country.
It was expected to become even cooler on Saturday with a chance of isolated showers in the morning.
While winds were expected to persist along the coast on Sunday, the weather was expected to become warm once again and the rain was forecasted to abate.
By Monday, meterologists expect the the winter spell to be over, with conditions becoming unseasonably warm and dry.
