The youths were suspected of beating him, sexually harassing him, defecating and urinating on him, and also extorting money from him.

Police said the suspects were undergoing a remand hearing Thursday.
One of the suspects was released to house arrest.
An initial investigation showed that the abuse took place at school, but mainly in the victim's home and various other places.
Police believe the abuse was not known to school authorities or to the parents of the victim, and that the boy feared telling anyone what had happened to him.
The incident was eventually exposed after a youth movement counselor heard clues of abuse from the victim's friends.
Since then, the victim has moved to another school in the city.
