Police say the suspect was driving a Mazda, and were calling upon him to turn himself in.

Initial investigations revealed that the driver stopped after hitting Sirik on Lod's Einstein street, and then fled the scene, at which point he ran over the youth a second time.

In a separate incident Friday, MK Ruhama Avraham was injured in a car accident at the entrance to Beersheba, Army Radio reported. She was treated on the scene by Magen David Adom paramedics.
