Several Jerusalem streets to close for Formula 1 show

Traffic and parking arrangements to change Thursday and Friday as race cars hit capital.

In preparation for the Formula 1 show on Thursday and Friday, some Jerusalem streets will be closed.
The traffic routes to be closed: Hatzanchanim Street from Zaks Street junction southbound, Tzahal Square tunnel in both directions, Hativat Yerushalayim, Jaffa Gate, Hebron Road from Hashmona’it junction northbound, Yitzhak Kariv Street, King David Street, Agron Street from Paris Square eastbound, David Remez Street, Keren Hayesod Street from Shalom Alechem Street junction southbound, Jabotinsky Street from Palomar Square to Yitzhak Elhanan Street, Bethlehem Road between Emek Refaim and King David streets.
Alternate traffic routes from north to south: Hatzanchanim–Zaks–Hanevi’im–Kol Yisrael Haverim–Agrippas–Bezalel–Ben-Tzvi.
From south to north: Hebron Road–Miriam Hahashmonait–Bethlehem Road–Emek Refaim–Martin Luther King–Yitzhak Elhanan–Shalom Alechem–Keren Hayesod.
Also, Menachem Begin Avenue (Route 4).
Parking will not be allowed on the following streets: Hebron Road between Navon Square and Hativat Yerushalayim, David Remez Street and King David Street.
Also, the Liberty Bell parking lot and part of the Train Station parking lot will be closed.
The Mamilla and Karta parking lots will be closed on both days. Any cars parked on those streets will be towed.
The public is requested to use the light rail or special shuttles designated for arrivals to the area of the show.
Free shuttles will run from Teddy Parking Lot and Kiryat Hale’om Parking Lot to the area of the show on Thursday and Friday.
