The annual Independence Day Reception at the Residence of the US Ambassador to Israel is the US embassy's largest event of the year. From 7 p.m. Israel time, watch live coverage of the Herzliya party below.

The party will be attended by 2,200 guests, including MKs, military figures, local and international senior academics and NGOs. US Ambassador to Israel James B. Cunningham, President Shimon Peres and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu are scheduled to speak at the event.

The refreshments will have a decidedly American theme, with 1,700 McDonalds hamburgers, 3,000 slices of Domino's pizza, 5,000 bottles of Coke and a lot of Ben & Jerry's ice cream ordered for the event. It's not surprising, then, that the major sponsors are UPS, United Airlines, American Airlines, McDonalds, Coca Cola, Domino’s Pizza, Ben & Jerry’s, Avis and Sheraton.

There will also be a fireworks display during the night, and 6,000 balloons will decorate the residence.
