1. Microsoft Israel

This past Monday, Microsoft Israel held a farewell party at the Beit Hasmachot in Tel Aviv for Yoram Yaacovi, outgoing general manager of Microsoft Israel’s R&D Center. Attending the event were family, friends and industry leaders, including Yossi Vardi, Yossi Matias and Aharon Aharon.

Zack Weisfeld, founder and general manager of Microsoft Accelerator, hosted the evening, which included a guest performance by Ehud Banai.

2. Meshulam Levinstein

Contracting Shaul Lotan, CEO and owner of the Meshulam Levinstein Contracting and Engineering Group, hosted a secular New Year’s celebration for friends and colleagues from the commercial real estate and brokerage industries at his company’s offices on the 21st floor of Levinstein Tower in Tel Aviv. During the evening, Meshulam Levinstein VP Marketing Sharon Ben-Zvi gave a comprehensive talk about the industry and presented a forecast for 2018. Attending were: Oren Glazer, CEO of the Remax brokerage agency; Yavin Gil Mor, CEO at Yad2; and Shaul Lotan’s children: Chen Gur Lotan, the manager of income-producing property in the Group; and Amir Lotan, manager of the Group’s urban regeneration department.

3. Regus

Ron Yariv, the CEO of Regus, which markets customized business centers in Israel, launched – together with the chair of the Azrieli Group Danna Azrieli – Regus’s 14th business center in Israel on the 30th floor of the new Azrieli Sarona Tower in the Kirya in Tel Aviv.

4. Edna Mazya

The Cameri Theater celebrated a double premiere performance of Edna Mazya’s The Rebels, which features the stories of three generations of one family. The event was hosted by chairman of the Friends Association Liora Ofer and theater director Shmulik Yifrach. Attending were: Ami and Lizika Sagi; David and Michal Forer; Ram and Etti Caspi; and Mayor of Tel Aviv-Yafo Ron Huldai and his wife Yael.

5. Israel Philharmonic

Last Wednesday evening, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra Foundation held a special concert to honor Australian Jewish billionaire Frank Lowy and his wife Shirley, who are the orchestra’s largest contributors, and who financed the renovation of the Mann Auditorium. The event, which took place in the Lowy Auditorium, was conducted by one of the greatest violinists of all time, Pinchas Zukerman.

Among the guests were Michal and Mickey Zellermayer, chairman of the Philharmonic Orchestra; Aliza and Ehud Olmert; Ruthie and Meir Sheetrit; Alfred Akirov; Sarah and Michael Sela; Tova and Sami Sagol; Tali Gottlieb, executive director at Israel Philharmonic Orchestra Foundation; and secretary general Avi Shoshani at Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
