1. Shlomo Group
The Shmeltzer family hosted 1,000 insurance agents at Heichal Shlomo in Tel Aviv to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Shlomo Group. Atalia Shmeltzer, president of the group, told guests that she was excited to see the dreams of the founder, the late Shlomo Shmeltzer, coming to fruition even after his death. Uri Omid, CEO of Shlomo Group, and Tovi Shmeltzer, deputy CEO and an owner of the company, welcomed guests and screened a film about Shlomo’s vision and activity. Later, guests enjoyed a first-ever concert of Ivri Lider and Moshe Peretz. Attending were Inbal Shmeltzer, Asi and Dafna Shmeltzer, Israel and Ofra Reif, and Lior Rosenfeld, chairman of the Insurance Agents Association.
2. Aryeh-Yehuda Israel
Batsheva Bublil, owner of Club Hotel and member of Aryeh-Yehuda Israel, hosted the third Aryeh-Yehuda Israel conference at the Club Hotel in Eilat.
The event was attended by 70 women who are members of the organization and volunteer to help empower women in their communities. On the drive down to Eilat, the group stopped to see a women’s empowerment program that the organization supports in Yerucham for seniors.
3. HOT
At Reading 3 at the Tel Aviv Port, HOT CEO Tal Granot-Goldstein hosted senior television industry executives at a press conference during which she offered a summary of the last year and a preview of shows that will premiere in the upcoming year. Attending were Yoram Mokady, HOT vice president of content; Mirit Tovi, drama manager; Haim Slutzky, Dery Shai, Rinat Klein, Yoav Gross, Tami Mozes, Nadav Palti and Ram Landes.
4. PRIZE4LIFE
Prize4Life, which aims to accelerate the development of effective treatments and a cure for ALS, held its annual fundraiser on Tuesday evening at a WeWork coworking space in Tel Aviv. The goal of the event was to turn the impossible into something possible. Guests were regaled with incredible stories told by Prof. Dan Ariely; Israel’s first Olympic medalist Yael Arad; entrepreneur Yanki Margalit; paralympic athlete Pascale Berkowitz; and Shay Rishoni, head of Prize4Life, who suffers himself from ALS.
5. BEIT HATFUTSOT
Beit Hatfutsot – The Museum of the Jewish People, hosted a special event on Friday in memory of Canadian singer Leonard Cohen. The event was attended by Canadian Ambassador to Israel Deborah Lyons and included a visit to the special exhibit that was inspired by Cohen’s song “Hineni,'” and a performance of Cohen’s songs by Ari Gorali, Sivan Talmor, and Gal Nisman, which concluded with a rendition of the song “Hallelujah.” Attending were Dan Tadmor, CEO of Beit Hatfutsot; Hanna Pri-Zan, chairwoman of Friends of Beit Hatfutsot and her husband Benny; Adi Akunis, CEO of the Israel Friends of Beit Hatfutsot, her husband Minister of Science and Technology Ophir Akunis and their daughter Roni.
