Last Tuesday, the Museum of the Jewish People at Beit Hatfutsot hosted the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations.

Unistream
Unistream, led by chairman Rony Zarom and CEO Assaf Weiss, works in partnership with the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles to increase social and economic mobility by introducing underprivileged Israeli teens to the business world. Last week, they held two investment meetings with third year Unistream participants who presented innovative startups they’d developed to senior business leaders considering investing in them and providing initial capital to help develop their ventures. Among the participants were: Guy Pereg, chairman of Aspen Group; Reshef Mann, vice president of Technologies at AppsFlyer; Neil Corney, CEO Citi Israel; Oded Tal, CEO of Claridge Israel and a director at Unistream; and Doron Averbuch, managing director of Credit Suisse.
Beit Hatfutsot
Last Tuesday, the Museum of the Jewish People at Beit Hatfutsot hosted the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations – the umbrella organization of the 50 most important Jewish organizations in the United States.
The guests, including Arthur Stark, conference chairman; Malcolm Hoenlein, former vice chairman, and William Daroff, incoming vice chair of the Conference, toured the Museum’s “Let There Be Laughter” exhibition, which explores Jewish humor around the wormalcold. The chair of the Board of Directors of the Museum and president of the Nadav Foundation, Irina Nevzlin, who hosted the visit, treated the guests to a lecture about the importance of personal and collective identity.
Academic-Business Club
Last Wednesday, Tel Aviv University President Prof. Ariel Porat, President of the Israeli Friends of Tel Aviv University Amnon Dick and CEO of the Friends Association, Adi Olmert, hosted members of the Association’s Academic-Business Club at a pre-election event held at the Camilo Green House in Jaffa.
Five prominent politicians – Ayelet Shaked, Nitzan Horowitz, Gabi Ashkenazi, Avigdor Liberman and Gideon Sa’ar – took to the stage to field questions from journalists Ben Caspit and Aryeh Eldad. At the end of the evening, Sami Sagol spontaneously gave Amnon Dick a lapel pin in recognition
of his public service.
Israel Museum
Over 1,000 people attended the opening of a new exhibition at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem last Thursday, featuring works by actress and artist Raida Adon. The museum goers were welcomed by the museum’s director, Prof. Ido Bruno, the exhibiting artists, and the curators of the exhibitions.
Lilit Cosmetics
Last week, Nitza Bilet, chairwoman of Lilit Cosmetics, Uri Bilet, CEO of Lilit, and Yael Zin Billet, VP Marketing, hosted the founder of the prestigious Xerjoff fragrance brand, Sergio Momo. Momo arrived in Israel from Italy for the launching event of Xerjoff’s Accento Overdose perfume and a festive dinner, which took place at the Uriel Acosta House in Tel Aviv.
