Between the cost of living, low salaries and soaring food costs, poverty in Israel has skyrocketed. The poor in Israel receive very little in the form of government support.  What that means is less food available for the poor in Israel and more reliance on people such as yourselves, to fill in the food gap.
Yad Ezra V’Shulamit knows firsthand that too many people are struggling with poverty, and we’re doing everything we can to ease their pain.  For many, going hungry is a daily reality. Not just on a fast day.
I'm going to ask you an outrageous request. Please help feed a child in Israel as you would feed your own child. Don't let children and families in Israel go hungry. Help Yad Ezra V'Shulamit feed over 10,000 children and families every month.
We are committed to helping adults provide for themselves and their families with dignity. To this end, we distribute 3,000 family food baskets throughout Israel every week and over 23,000 holiday food baskets every Rosh Hashanah and Pesach. We supply baby formula, baby food, diapers and other infant products to hundreds of destitute, new mothers.
At Yad Ezra V’Shulamit, we ensure hundreds of children eat a hot, nourishing lunch every day in our Children’s Centers.  We give them help with homework, tutoring, and an afternoon of fun activities so they can have a break from the pressures at home. With over a hundred Children on our waiting list to receive our services, much needed funds must be secured in order for us to help these poor children.
With Yom Kippur one day away, we are turning to you to open your heart. There are thousands of children in Israel who are hungry and need your help. Thousands of children live below the poverty line and need food, just like your own kids.
Please go to our website, donate on-line or send in a check. But please don't leave these children without food.
May God put you in the book of life and bless you with a year full of health, success, and happiness - and may you always be on the giving side.  www.yadezra.net
