Jerusalem police on Tuesday questioned Betar Jerusalem striker Amit Ben-Shushan over an apparent recent racial slur he made against Arabs, police said.
Ben-Shushan was interrogated by investigators after he was filmed chanting "I hate all the Arabs" at a celebration at Teddy Stadium after his team won the State Cup last week, Jerusalem police spokesman Asi Aharoni said.
The State Prosecutor's Office had ordered police to launch a probe into the incident.
The sportsman has apologized for the incident and on Monday the club released a statement stressing that it believed there was no need for a police investigation into the incident.
