Eilat back on track with win against Ness Ziona

Hapoel Eilat snapped its three-game losing streak on Sunday night with an 86-76 victory at home over surprise-package Ironi Ness Ziona.
Eilat signed Israel internationals Elishay Kadir and Yuval Naimi over the past two weeks after a mediocre start to the season, but it was American Kevin Palmer who led the southerners to the win, scoring 27 points and taking 12 rebounds.
Ness Ziona (7-4) closed to within three points in the fourth quarter, but couldn’t complete a comeback against Eilat which improved to 6-5. Naimi had just a single point in his debut for Eilat, with Kadir scoring seven points. Diamon Simpson and Tyler Honeycutt had 18 points each for Ness Ziona.
Also Sunday, Hapoel Tel Aviv claimed an 85-75 win at Maccabi Ashdod, with Raviv Limonad (pictured above) scoring 21 points and Carlon Brown adding 20 points. Kenny Hayes had 16 points for Ashdod.
Hapoel Holon beat Maccabi Rishon Lezion 82-64 on the road behind 25 points and 12 rebounds from Brian Asbury. Bnei Herzliya edged Hapoel Gilboa/Galil 75-74, with Avi Ben-Shimol scoring 19 points. Ndudi Ebi had 12 points and eight rebounds. Deshawn Sims scored 26 points for Gilboa. Barak Netanya hosts Maccabi Tel Aviv on Monday evening.
