Former Israel international Abas Suan filed an official complaint at the Kiryat Shmona police station on Sunday after the back window of his car was smashed on Saturday night during Ironi Kiryat Shmona's 1-0 home victory over Betar Jerusalem. "It's a disgrace that there are still fans that do this," the 32-year-old midfielder said on Sunday. "These supporters are hurting Israeli soccer as a whole. Unfortunately, my 'affair' with Betar Jerusalem fans has been going on for years and I'm doubtful anything can be done to stop this." Earlier Sunday, two Betar fans were arrested on suspicion that they, and several other of the team's supporters, tried to steer the side's bus off the road while it was making its way back to Jerusalem from Kiryat Shmona. Betar's management called in the police after the unpleasant experience and the team bus was escorted all the way back to Jerusalem. "The club condemns the incident that occurred between the team bus and three cars belonging to the side's supporters," read a statement released by Betar on Sunday. "The fans are known both to the police and to the club's management and the incident was reported to the police. The club's management denounces any act of violence by the fans and will not shut its eyes to them."
