Andy Ram’s hope of ending 2010 on a winning note was dashed in Paris on Sunday afternoon.Ram and interim partner Mark Knowles lost 7-5, 7-5 to Mahesh Bhupathi and Max Minryi in the final of the Paris Masters, a disappointing ending to an excellent tournament, which saw the Israel/Bahamian duo defeat the Bryan brothers in the semis. After more than two years, Ram is expected to renew his full-time partnership with Yoni Erlich at the start of 2011.Meanwhile, Robin Soderling of Sweden won his first Masters 1000 title Sunday by beating Gael Monfils of France 6-1, 7-6 (1) in the Paris Masters final.Soderling became the first Swede to win a Masters 1000 tournament since Thomas Enqvist in 2000 at Cincinnati. He will leapfrog Andy Murray of Britain to rise to a career-high No. 4 in the rankings.
